Glass design on Bornholm

With glass solutions for the future as the theme, Duran Group was invited to present new trends in the glass industry – and to get the company’s products and solutions challenged by the students of the Design School on Bornholm. During an intensive day with workshop, materials, samples and techniques and presentation from Duran Group engineers, agents and developers – the student’s knowledge and the traditions of the company were investigated and challenged. One of the new things presented is a non-symetric tea pot in Borosilicate 3.3, which is a heat-resistant glass. And with the use of silicone, it’s being a brand new material-combination in that field. Beside the appearance of silicone you can see underneath the pot, it’s possible to get extremely delicate patters to provide both functional as well as visual styling approaches.
