PaperlinX has signed an exclusive agreement with Greek white lined chipboard producer, Macedonian Paper Mills (MEL) S.A.
Under the terms of the agreement, PaperlinX has exclusive distribution rights in mainland UK for MEL’s range of grey back, kraft back and triplex board. The recycled cartonboard range will be sold under the Huntsman brand and is available in weights ranging from 280 to 550gsm.
MEL, acquired by the PAK Group in 2012, has been producing high quality cartonboard for over five decades. The mill exports a large percentage of its capacity within the EU and the partnership with PaperlinX supports its aim to expand distribution into the UK.
PaperlinX Graphic & Cartonboard Sales Manager, Tony Myers said: “This is a key strategic partnership for PaperlinX and enables us to offer customers a range of environmentally-friendly, cost-effective products that are suitable for a variety of packaging applications.”
The mill is FSC accredited and produces to IS0 14001:2004. Huntsman triplex and kraft back boards also conform to ISEGA food standards.
