Design talent awards soon to close

Faces of Design has started the final countdown for the first round of their ultimate portfolio competition for design students and recent graduates. Until July 15th, young designers can get signed up for this competition, in which candidates can submit up to three existing projects to be judged by a panel of leading international creatives and design thinkers. The winning designers' profiles will be distributed to over 1.000 key decision makers at more than 300 companies, including firms such as vitra, IKEA, the Richemont Group (including prestigious brands such as Montblanc, Cartier and Chloé), designers’ studios such as the Campanas’ and Bouroullecs’, and the design press.

In the first round of the Faces of Design Talent Awards, the candidates have the opportunity to present their three best projects to the judges in a safe online environment, followed by a second round with our high-profile panel.
The winners of the competition will then have their profiles presented to opinion leaders and key decision makers in design worldwide. In addition, the top three candidates will be portrayed in a special feature in the globally distributed design magazine Loft, The Nordic BOOKazine.

The Faces of Design Awards are open to individual design students and student groups, as well as newly founded design studios.

The competition opened on May 10th; the deadline for portfolio submission is July 15th, 2010. To support design talent from developing economies, there is a limited number of participation grants available.
