Kemira Oyj, a global water chemistry company, announced recently that it has acquired through its North American subsidiary Kemira Water Solutions, Inc., Water Elements, LLC, a North American manufacturer of inorganic coagulants for municipal and industrial water and wastewater treatment.
WE was started in 2007 and has one production plant in Baltimore, Maryland and 2009 revenue of approximately USD 10 million. The parties have agreed not to disclose the transaction price. WE will be a subsidiary of Kemira Water Solutions, Inc. and will be integrated into Kemira's Municipal & Industrial business segment in the U.S.
