Valmet to deliver a wide range of shutdown services to Ittihad Paper Mill in United Arab Emirates

Ittihad Paper Mill (IPM) in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, has again selected Valmet as the main supplier of field services to its annual shutdown in 2024. The shutdown will take place at the end of July 2024.

The order was included in Valmet's orders received of the fourth quarter 2023. The value of the order will not be disclosed.

Since the inauguration of Ittihad Paper Mill’s paper machine (PM1) in 2019, IPM and Valmet have continuously worked together to secure top productivity and competitiveness of the mill. To the mill’s annual shutdown in 2024, Valmet will for the second consecutive year deliver a comprehensive selection of field services including targeted equipment audits, maintenance planning, shutdown management and execution of the maintenance work.

Valmet’s delivery includes a comprehensive selection of field services both prior to and during the Ittihad Paper Mill’s annual shutdown. Valmet will perform a machine alignment check as well as inspection and maintenance of several paper machine sections and parts such as Valmet Disc Filter, OptiFlo Gap headbox, Valmet SymBelt Shoe Press Roll, OptiSizer Film, OptiCalender Hard and OptiWin Drum two-drum base winders. Valmet will also be responsible for the planning and management of the shutdown.
