Discussion with potential strategic partners on the conversion of LWC paper machine PM 2 to packaging paper production at the Burgo’s Duino mill have come to a halt, according to Euwid. The Italian company might divest it sidled LWC magazine paper machine instead of converitng it to packaging paper.
PM 2 has an installed production capacity of up to 150,000 tpy of coated mechanical paper. The machine had been subject to numerous commercial stoppages before it was shut down permanently in December 2015, due to weak market conditions.
