Suprising mechanisms

Die Drei (The Three) are a table series made of elm wood, veneer and linoleum. Looking like very simple tables, they come up with three surprisingly unconventional opening mechanisms which reinterpret structures of classic furniture.

While other drawers tilt or wear out after some time, these desks and side tables use the asymmetric movements as their functional pinciples.

Behind the Die Drei is Martha Schwindling. She has studied product design at the State University of Art and Design in Karlsruhe since 2007. Die Drei resulted from her intermediate exam.
