Segezha Group net loss increases to 88 billion rubles in 2025

Weak lumber demand and price pressure in China, a stronger ruble, and high interest costs drove “asset impairments, capacity curtailments, and lower fourth-quarter sales” for Russian Segezha Group, according to Lesprom.

Segezha Group is the largest forest products producer in European Russia.

Segezha Group is a Russian timber holding company with a full cycle of its own logging and specialisation in the production of a wide range of high-margin products. The focus of development is on environmentally friendly technologies for added-value wood processing and comprehensive use of raw materials.

Company’s product range includes sack kraft paper, paper packaging, biofuel and sawn timber.
