At the opening of this year’s International Furniture Fair in Stockholm on 8 February 2011 coincidated with the celebrations to mark Brunstad’s 70th anniversary. The Norwegian company is launching three new sofas and one easy chair at this event.
Furniture designer Helge Taraldsen (MNIL) designed the easy chair Feel, which is Brunstad’s main new product in its anniversary year – an elegant easy chair that smoothly follows the body’s movements thanks to features such as a tilting mechanism, reclinable back, full rotation and movable neck rest.
Taraldsen is also responsible for the sofa Silhuett, which doubles up as an accent piece or sculpture as well as a comfortable sofa. With its unusual lines, it deserves pride of place in the middle of the room and looks good from all angles.
The sofas Air and Bohem have been designed by Arild Alnes (MNIL). Air has a contemporary, cool, minimalist feel to it, while Bohem appeals to all age groups: it is timeless, generous, inviting and exceptionally comfortable.
All the designs have a few things in common: good design, functionality and high quality.
