Oji Holdings Corporation announces that its aluminum-metallized paper, "Silbio Alba," by Oji F-Tex Co., Ltd., has been selected as an environmentally friendly packaging material for coffee bean bags sold on the e-commerce platform operated by Geopack Co, Ltd.
Silbio Alba is a paper-based material with barrier properties comparable to aluminum-metallized film, offering excellent resistance to oxygen, water vapor, and light. By reducing the use of aluminum foil and petroleum-derived materials, it provides a sustainable packaging solution while ensuring the moisture resistance and aroma retention essential for coffee bean packaging. The flat-bottom bags manufactured by GEOPACK are designed to stand upright for enhanced visibility on store shelves, while their slim profile makes them ideal for postal delivery.
Coffee bean roasteries considering both in-store and online sales can now use SILBIO ALBA for their packaging needs.
Moving forward, Geopack plans to offer flexible and diverse design options through digital printing. Plastic film with a thin layer of aluminum applied through thermal evaporation.
